Join us, along with the Australian Passive House Association for a virtual tour of this project in Asquith, northern Sydney on November 24.
We made a book!
Passivhaus in Australia is part inspiration, part record and part instruction guide but most of all, a call to arms!
The PassivLaneway project on the Northern Beaches of Sydney is now officially a certified passivhaus.
The recent bush fires in Eastern Australia has given rise to many questions on how to prevent the ingress of smoke particles and odour into buildings.
November 8-10th sees passive house buildings around the globe throw open their doors to the public. A global open home day allows people to experience the comfort of a passive house and ask all their burning questions of the home owners.
It’s that time of year again! Sunday 15 September is Sustainable House Day with over 250 homes open nationwide, including an increasingly large contingent of certified passive house buildings.
We are proud as punch to announce that our Thornleigh project has been certified as the first passive house in Sydney.
This stunning new Thornleigh house is one of the first certified passive homes in Sydney. The owners bought the property in Thornleigh so they could build their forever home. The existing building was quickly demolished to make way for a family friendly, energy efficient Passivhaus.
This compact little number sits atop a new garage capturing district views. It’s a Northern Beaches granny flat that packs a punch well above its 60m2 weight.
This home replaces a defunct weatherboard cottage that was well past its use by date. Once renovation was ruled out, the challenge of north to the street and a sloping block to the south was wholeheartedly embraced.
