PASSIVHAUS SITE TOUR – SAT 20TH JULY

Berowra, NSW

Join us for a free tour in Berowra to see a Passivhaus home under construction on Saturday the 20th of July 2024 at 2pm.

This project is a partnership with Passivhaus Design & Construct, in collaboration with Envirotecture and Red Cedar Constructions.

It is a lovely “Forever Home” for lovely clients, built by lovely builders in lovely Berowra, NSW.
This home is seeking certification at Passive House Plus level, which means in addition to all the wonderful benefits of it being healthy, comfortable, resilient and efficient, it also will be powered by renewable power!

Getting the thermal-envelope right (the roof, walls/windows and floors) is known as a #fabricfirst approach where the building will require very little heating/cooling.
Add airtight construction and an MVHR, and we’re kicking Passivhaus goals!
Add Solar PV (with an all-electric home), and you can harvest more solar power than the building uses, which means it can be net-zero carbon in operation.

The home has been constructed from Carbonlite wall and floor panels with a Bondor roof.
The Logikhaus windows have been installed but the internal linings have not yet started.
This is the moment to see the technical elements that make a Passivhaus a Passivhaus!
We love these events as it’s an opportunity for the community to learn more about some of the hidden magic that makes a Passivhaus shine!

Architect Andy Marlow and Builders Trent Clark and Garrett Clark will host the tour.
